Kochia has become one of the biggest weed problems for farmers in the southern Canadian prairies. This is due to a combination of recent weather patterns, the unique biology of this weed, and unfettered selection for resistance to multiple herbicides. This presentation will summarize the findings of recent surveys of herbicide-resistant kochia across the prairie provinces to help farmers and agronomists make informed management decisions.
