Description

Soil compaction can be a tricky thing to manage. There are many variables at play: soil texture, weather, soil moisture conditions, the type of equipment being used, tillage practices, etc. Taking all these factors into account, it may not be possible to completely remove the impact of compaction during fieldwork, but it is possible to limit the overall impact. This presentation will review some of the key principles to minimize soil compaction by understanding how and when it occurs.
