Kristina Wormald (Polziehn) is an independent agronomist, working as a Professional Agrologist (PAg.) and Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) in Alberta. In 2014, she started Axiom Agronomy Ltd., based in Sturgeon County, providing agronomic services in the Edmonton surrounding area and Peace Country region. Kristina’s experience in the agriculture industry comes from working 15+ years in agronomy, research, grain marketing and sales. She spent two years with BASF Canada as a Technical Specialist covering southern Saskatchewan and four years with Viterra as Manager of Agronomic Services in northern Alberta/BC and a Regional Account manager in the Edmonton/Camrose area.
She completed an MSc in plant science from the University of Alberta with a focus on IWM of wild oat and has served on the Canadian Weed Science Society and Alberta Institute of Agrologists boards. In 2016, Kristina was selected as a recipient for the 2017 Nuffield Canada Scholarship, sponsored through the Alberta Wheat Commission (AWC) to study applications of remote sensing in crop production.
When not travelling and working with farmers, Kristina and her husband Glenn are shuttling their three kids, Amelia (6) and twins- Jack and James (3) to activities.
