Randy Kutcher is a professor and Strategic Research Program chair for the Cereal and Flax pathology program at the Crop Development Centre, Department of Plant Sciences, U of S. His research focus is on cereal and flax diseases. A number of the graduate students in his program are focused on FHB research and others on stripe rust, bacterial leaf streak and leaf spot diseases of cereals. He teaches field crop pathology to third year undergraduate students. In a previous career, Randy was a research scientist at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, where his research focused on disease mitigation in oilseed crops (canola) within the integrated crop management program.
