Speaker Bio
I am an entomologist with expertise in sustainable agriculture, biological control, and insect ecology. I earned my Ph.D. in Plant Science from the University of Alberta, where my doctoral research focused on the ecology and behavior of carabid beetles that feed on weed seeds in canola and wheat ecosystems. Following my Ph.D., I conducted postdoctoral research on the ecology of key canola pests, including the diamondback moth and flea beetles. My work aims to contribute towards sustainable pest management practices and enhanced agricultural productivity.
