Karen Skarberg was raised on a Peace region grain farm near Sexsmith, AB. She received her BSc in Agriculture (Soil Science) from the University of Alberta and kicked off her formal career working for Alberta Agriculture on research projects addressing conservation tillage and erosion and utilizing early VR/ Precision Ag technologies on farm across Alberta. Returning to the Peace country in 1995, she worked Ag Retail and ag contract positions prior to establishing herself as an independent agronomy consultant founding her company, Stellar Ag Crop Strategies Ltd. Stellar Ag offers full agronomy services in the Peace region from soil sampling, to mapping fields with a Veris for pH and EC for VR applications, to fertilizer and lime recommendations, field scouting and assessments of products and programs fall within the scope of her experience. Karen maintains her P Ag and 4R designations.
