After completing his degree in Agricultural Business Management in the Netherlands, he participated in the Young Farmers Exchange Program and landed in Alberta. Over the years his career evolved from farmhand to owning and operating a farm, participated in value added industry, representing farmers at provincial and national levels and worked as a farm management consultant in private and public sector. Now, working at Olds College Centre for Innovation as Manager Smart Ag Applied Research, Herman is at the forefront where new and exciting technologies are tested in a practical setting.
