This presentation will cover the impacts of seed-down of salt affected land to salt tolerant forage on dry matter forage production, composition and soil conditions. Results from long-term trials located in southern Saskatchewan demonstrate the benefits to be achieved in increased production of palatable forage, reduced surface soil salinity, and increased soil organic matter content resulting over time from the seed-down of salt tolerant forage species.
